Whatever comes to mind as a result of what I'm living. It's about anything and everything. I write about life through the eyes of our daughter's perspective (what I perceive it might be) and I write about what I think about and the realizations I get and the conclusions I draw as a result of my own life experience....all for freedom of expression and for the fun of it.

Why wait?
Why wait until some time later when I can be happy? Why wait until I get the new car, or the new dress, or that contract, or until anything or anyone changes, before being happy? I've heard myself say, "I'll be happy when....". Knowing what I know now, it's just something I used to say, and I say it less and less, for I know that I can be happy now, and I don't have to wait. It's not the condition(s) that need to change before I choose to be happy anyway, it's my perspective that allows me to enjoy my current place. I can find benefit and I can find positive aspects about anything if I look for it, and if I wait to be happy until this, that, or the other thing change to be more to my liking in some way, I could be waiting forever, because there's always something that I'm "molding" into place. It's a never-ending thing. So by choosing to be happy now, no matter what, truly is enjoying the journey. And I'm happy to enjoy the journey on my way to more.....
The doll goes in the fridge...if she wants to
I was holding Franki up to the fridge one day, and she stuck her doll in it. My knee-jerk response to that was, "the doll doesn't go in the fridge, silly monkey". I was also on the phone at the time, and my friend who heard me say that, said, "why not"? And he was right. Why doesn't the doll go in the fridge? Who made the rule about dolls belonging in the fridge or not? As simple as all of that sounds, it had a large impact on me, because in that moment, I saw how much I can mold my daughter through the lens through which I view the world. My opinions, my beliefs, become part of her world through observation, and unless and until she has her daughter put her doll in the fridge some day, she may or may not ever question that. I have this great opportunity every day to influence my daughter, and my desire for her is to follow what feels best to her, to follow her own guidance, and not let my criteria for what's "right" "wrong" or "better" be her criteria. I want her to decide that moment by moment to the best of her ability...and I trust and know that that is what's best for her.

I love Barney
I love Barney! And yes, by Barney I mean the very big purple dinosaur with green spots on his back. With lines like, "no one misses the bus to imaginary adventures", and the pizza song that includes, "pizza, pizza...it's my tummy's favorite", and songs about imagination, and you can do anything... What could be better than being with a 2 year old, right along side of her discovering her world full of possibilities and having Barney to sing along with?!?
Franki's Perspective...
My mom just looked at me and said "you are amazing"....as if I didn't already know that. I mean, I know it so purely, it's no news to me that I'm amazing. There's no one else like me, expressing as me, offering my very own unique perspective and point of view about life through my eyes. That's what I would have said could I have strung those words together...but I don't need to offer it in words, I can just offer it through my knowing....My mom "got" it without me having to say a thing. Sometimes, words are unnecessary, aren't they?
So good....
There's nothing in my world that is as satisfying, fulfilling and meaningful as holding my daughter close as she sits on my lap. She smells wonderful (mostly) ;), her skin is so soft, and she is sooooo....indescribably wonderful in each and every way. Who knew that being a mom could be so great? I certainly didn't, and I am so appreciative to have the priviledge of having this wonderful little being in my life. I looked at her today as we were looking out the window at the deer in our yard, and I said, "you are amazing"....and she looked at me with this knowing smile and twinkle in her eyes as if to say, "But of course, mommy....I am amazing".
Focus
Why would I ever focus on things that don’t feel good to me? As I create my own reality and how I think and feel is what manifests, as I ponder things that don’t feel good to me, so am I creating more of that. The answer lies in the Law of Attraction’s power to bring more of what I’m thinking to me. I (and many others) have been “trained” to believe that I must focus on a perceived “problem” to solve it. And I use the term “perceive” loosely because that’s all it is…it is my perception that is labeling whatever I’m giving my attention to as a “problem”. I could just as easily label it as an opportunity for change, or improvement, or answers. If I smelled something foul in a room, would I continually return to the room to make sure it smells foul? No, not likely. I’d walk out of the room. So, as I decide that feeling good is important to me, I begin to change my focus from “problem” perception to opportunity within this situation. And as I do that, I am more allowing of solutions to “uncover” themselves.
NOW
Your most powerful point of creation is NOW. It’s not later, it’s not yesterday, it’s NOW. It’s how you choose to respond, it’s how you choose to feel NOW, that creates your future and re-creates your past. You can re-create your past from how you feel NOW, and you can create your future experience by how you feel right NOW. Where is your focus right NOW? You have no other moment but NOW. The future is just an idea and the past is just a thought that you are choosing to focus on. Whatever contrast you’re experiencing, or whatever conditions you’re living, it’s how you choose to respond right NOW that determines what comes next for you. How are you going to respond? Are you going to make the worst of it, or are you going to make the best of it? Are you choosing to look at the positive aspects or are you choosing the negative aspects? For in all situations, there is some of all of it, and you always have a choice. The power of choice is NOW. What are you choosing?
